It’s been an interesting few weeks, with the introduction of a brand new RUG from the makers of The Sims, and the announcement that a new game is coming to the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
And now, there’s a new home decor item in the mix too.
It’s called “Rugs,” and it’s an add-on to the original Sims 3 furniture.
The RUGs you can decorate will be made by a new developer, and they’ll be available to decorat in your home or on a whim, according to Microsoft.
If you want to see what the furniture looks like in action, we’ve captured the video above.
Rugs can be purchased for $19.99 in the Microsoft Store and $29.99 via Steam.
Microsoft’s not saying much about the hardware that makes the RUG’s furniture, other than that it’ll use the same processor as the furniture itself, which means it’ll run at 1080p on the Xbox and a “solid 60Hz” refresh rate for the PC.
That’s something that’s always been a challenge for RUG furniture, since its not easy to get 60fps in a game like The Sims 4.
The Xbox One version will also come with a “Sims 3 furniture” accessory called the “Catchpole.”
That lets you add a catchpole to any piece of furniture in your house that can be “pulled” in various ways, and it’ll have an animated light effect when it does so.
That sounds like a fun addition, and we’ve seen it in action on the PC version of The Sims 3, which has a similar feature.
