Breweries will be the first to put security on the gate to the Breweries Guilds Beer Store in Gurgaon.
The doors will be locked to the inside, and they will also have cameras installed to prevent burglars.
The locks will be made by security-technology company GateLock Systems.
The lockers will have a door lock to prevent the inside from being accessed by anyone with access.
“Our aim is to ensure that the Brews Guilds can stay open and safe for the customers who come in,” said Ashish Joshi, co-founder and chairman of GateLocks.
“The security of our customers is a big factor in why we have chosen GateLocker.”
Guilds has an existing gate in the shop, but is looking to extend it.
It is hoped the new locks will prevent people from getting in and out of the store, with a total of 15 million people visiting the shop each year.
Security in the Brewers Guilds has been a huge hit with customers.
A security guard from the Guilds told NDTV, “We have received positive feedback from our customers and we are confident that the security of the Brewsters Guild will be of great benefit to them and to the general public.
Gurgaon’s Breweries, in particular, has seen a massive growth in the last couple of years.
With more and more people coming to Gurgaons market every year, security is essential to keep it safe.
According to the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), 1,200 people were killed and 4,872 injured in the city in 2017. ( NDTV )
